2009 what a gift we have received the gift of "Yes We Can"! 

 

The reality that our wealth is in our friendships, our good health and family bonds came home in 2008.  What a wonderful opportunity to embrace this reality so that we may re-order our priorities as we redefine what really matters.

 

In 2008 we witnessed much loss, destruction and heartache some were the result of us ignoring the voice of nature who repeats her song every year. Another pain was a result of human greed and a lack of oversight, which is being felt all over the world as our and other economies continue to struggle. But nothing has been as sad and unavoidable as our inhumanity toward one another which continues to be played out on bloody fields of war, genocide and by direction of unchallenged Dictatorships.

 

 May the "Obama" years be a constant reminder of the fruition of the hopes and aspirations as well as the sacrifices of those who came before us.  Let this era inspire us to be active participants in meeting the many challenges that will be put before him, us and our global family.  Let our mantra be  "Yes We Can"  make this a world worthy of our young to inherit.  Let's embrace this possibility by committing to being pro-active in changing this world for the better.  After all, history will show if we came and conquered for we are the architects of our own Legacies.
